Hydraulic fracturing, known to many as “fracking” IS happening and is unlikely to cease. In fact, “fracking” is becoming a standard procedure for the recovery of fossil fuels (gas and oil) in the US and is beginning to be so globally. So the question becomes how do we do it safely, efficiently and with as little long term harm to the environment as possible? The answer: Innovation is needed!
Please join us for a panel discussion bringing together experts from industry, policy, and academia in this area to identify strategic opportunities for innovation in hydraulic fracturing. The panel is geared toward energy entrepreneurs who are trying to understand how their technology might best address needs in this market, as well as the realities of penetrating the highly complex value chain of the oil & gas industry. Mapping this vast opportunity space requires an understanding of what the industry does well and does not do well, and where cutting edge innovations are needed to fill in a technology gap.
